In the name of Allah, the most merciful

We welcome you warmly to this new website; a platform that will provide a framework for information and provide visitors with the knowledge they seek about the tourism sector and its components. We also aspire to have this website become a pillar of innovation and leadership for the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in supporting and developing the tourism sector; one of the key pillars of the Jordanian economy.  The Ministry believes in the importance of partnership between the public and private sectors and its role in the development of this vital industry. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities therefore works diligently to ensure the development and growth of tourism sector jobs, the enhancement of the investment climate and to build on our past achievements to further boost the sector.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, through all of its activities, aims to fulfill His Majesty King Abdullah II’s vision through amplifying the tourism sector’s impact on the Jordanian economy. We work towards sustainable development for the sector which in turn reflects on local communities all across the Kingdom. We believe that tourism is a means of cultural understanding and mutual respect allowing for the preservation and sustainability of our cultural and historical heritage. We aim to enrich tourists’ experiences in Jordan through highlighting Jordan as a contemporary, cultural destination through this website.

Therefore, it is my hope that this website acts as a portal towards growth, development and competitiveness in accordance with current trends and advancements. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who worked on, designed and built the website in addition to those who provided data and information for its enrichment. I wish you all good health in the care of Allah almighty, in the service of our dear Jordan under our great Hashemite leadership.

Please accept my warmest regards,

H.E. Makram Mustafa Queisi
